The most expensive cheapest glasses ever.

Either my vision insurance or my eye doctor’s optical department is crap. After insurance coverage for glasses, they wanted me to shell out over $500 for them… wtf!

One day on a trip to the local outlet mall, I happened to walk into the Oakley Vault. In the display case, sat a bunch of prescription frames, and I ended up choosing the Straight Line 2.0 model in pewter. I looked at Oakley frames before in an optical shop that were over $300, these were a fraction of the price… $70. In addition, my insurance sent me check for $45. Unfortunately, even though lenses were covered under my insurance plan, they high-index (thin) lenses I got were about $120 out of pocket. Still, these specs have turned out to be the cheapest pair I’ve ever purchased.
