Today, marks the first day of human space flight. On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin flew in space for 1 hour and 48 minutes. While not the same Vostok capsule used in his flight, the museum my office was in housed a flown Vostok. Those guys must have been crazy, to fly in one of these things. You can kind of see the Vostok below on the right.
